Hello there! A very happy New Year to all of you! I hope that your time with your loved ones was special, and that you had lots of fun. Allow me to start this blog’s year with the following two quotes which serve as important reminders to all of us.
Have compassion for everyone you meet, even if they don’t want it.
What appears bad manners, an ill temper or cynicism is always a
sign of things no ears have heard, no eyes have seen. You do not
know what wars are going on down there where the spirit meets
the bone.
~ Miller Williams
I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be happy. I think the purpose
of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above
all to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have madesome
difference that you lived at all.
all to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have madesome
difference that you lived at all.
~ Leo Rosten
I wish you most of all LOVE.

Bam! Yes, I’ve been watching Emeril lately … not that my cooking has improved any! In the middle of typing something, had to stop and read this, always thought-provoking and smile-inducing. A Blessed New Year to you and as the humble penny so perfectly puts it “In God We Trust.”
Thank you – good advice.
2010…and looking forward to more meaningful quotes and exciting excerpts from the adventures of the Perez family! LU, Boop
Thanks Boop! The best to you and Don. And looking forward to your continuing “editing” services. : )
So well said, Barbie. You reminded me of something when you mentioned the penny…I was wonderfully surprised the other day when sitting in traffic (yes, hard to believe!) and I noticed the tag on the car in front of me had “In God We Trust” instead of “State of Florida.” So awesome. Although it may not mean a lot to many, it sure made ME smile. I’ve heard it said that spotting a penny on the ground is just a reminder from God to remember to trust in Him. Wishing all in the RX for the Soul family a blessed New Year! <
I found out they were making the tags like that in August when we got my daughter’s car. Her tag says it too. : )
Way cool! :o)
