– For unexpected small gestures that make the sweetest of moments.
Warning: Such gestures may cause amazing side effects — hard to say who’ll get the most joy, the receiver or the giver.
Most of us are fortunate to be surrounded by people who show us their thoughtfulness; occasionally even unknowns touch us with gestures that leave us believing there are angels walking among us.
Let’s not forget to pay it forward.
~ Hem your blessings with thankfulness so they don’t unravel.

A couple of days ago, a close friend responded to one of my emails with a story of her own, which story inspired my Thankful Thursdays post for today. It read:
“Mimi, I have to share this with you. Yesterday, I was waiting for the bus on my way home in the pouring rain (with no umbrella), and I see this man crossing the street from Walgreens holding an umbrella. He walks up to me, and hands me an umbrella, I said no it’s ok, but he insisted with a gentle smile, and just walks away. I didn’t even get to say, thank you. I swear he must of bought it at Walgreens, because I doubt he would be walking around the street with 2 umbrellas. Not sure, but I do know God sent an angel my way. I’m sure of that. This may be considered a small gesture, but I was very touched, and reminded that there is still a lot of greatness in people. Well, I know what I am thankful for on Thankful Thursday.
Thanks for sharing this email with me. I hope you have a beautiful day my friend.
Love,
Marti
What a sweet story! I love it when things like that happen. There’s hope!
