Thankful for the little things I have to look forward to. They don’t all have to be big things, do they? The grouchy look on my “not-a-morning-person” kids’ faces, because still I get to see them yet another day; the confused look on my cat Nervous Nelly, because she’s just too weird-funny; my husband returning from a 4-day business trip, because that’s the longest we’ve been apart ♥; spending time with a loved one I haven’t seen in a while, ’cause what could be better?
What are some of the little things you have to look forward to and are thankful for?
“Who does not thank for little will not thank for much.”

Connie,
I wake up at 5am to take the bus to work. I look forward to seeing Isa asleep next to me. I look forward to my cats funny meows, awaiting their morning feeding. I look forward for my walk to the bus stop in the morning. I look forward to the call from Isa mid-morning. I look forward to the occasional funny text from Steph. I even look forward to work, because I really need to work to keep my sanity.
I look forward to the day when I will no longer feel pain. I look forward to the day, when all my questions will be answered. I specially look forward to the day, when I won’t need to look forward anymore.
And I look forward to the day when you no longer feel pain my friend, but I can wait a while for when all your questions will be answered. Have a blessed day.
Thanks Connie… Life does have a way to go every which way… and when I (very naively and arrogantly) think that I’ve arrived or have it figured out, I get brought back to reality. Go figure. All the best to you and yes, I agree with you, I think I will wait for my answers to everything for a while longer. 😉
Take care
I understand how Panchi feels re: pain, will add to prayer list! I look forward to another day because it means the weekend is getting closer and closer, to Smokey Noelle’s gentle pats telling me it’s time for breakfast, to morning prayers, cafe con leche in hand, my job (yes, I know, I’m an odd one) for which I’m grateful for with so many being out of a job, getting home after a long day at the office, evening prayers, I had a Cuban grandmomma, what can I say? Morning and evening prayers were a must. To weekends, hand-feeding the two abandoned kittens my neighbors rescued and I, of course, got presented with because their little girl is allergic, watering my garden and puttering around in it, books, life, the ups and downs. Holidays, birthdays, long weekends, rain. New books and old. I look forward to every day I wake up to and I am grateful. And I look forward to the day I turn the corner and find my parents waiting for me, welcoming me home. Maybe I’ll even get to finally meet my army of guardian angels who will, no doubt, say “Finally, we get to rest! She can’t get into trouble here!” Whew! That was a long one!
Awesome stuff to look forward to Amiga!
Well, this is an awesome blog! Sending hugs, prayers and love to the familia. Working on new brownie recipes, will let you know about Taste Test Day.
Looking forward to it!
