For el cafecito – that sweet octane with espumita that lifts spirits and an aroma worth bottling. [Yes, soy Cubana, and Café Cubano runs through my veins]. Thankful (particularly on this rain-induced sleepy day) for this tradition, among many, and especially grateful for the times spent enjoying los cafecitos with family and friends. [♥ you guys]. Happy Cafecito!
P.S. check out my picture above posted last week in 3:05 Miami Cafecito Break, the movement to make 3:05 p.m. the official Cuban coffee time of Miami.
“There’s too much blood in my caffeine system.”
“A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent.”
I think they stole our idea! We‘d been meeting @ 3 for our cafecito for years…remember? Our employers or meeting place may have changed throughout the years, but that never stopped us. Great memories of talks, problems solved, concerns shared, tears, laughter, and ‘short version’ of our day’s events exchanged. So much more than just cafecito. 🙂
Indeed my friend. So thankful for those moments past, the ones we still share today, and looking forward to those to come. Happy cafecito! xoxox
