Yesterday we lost a good man. A loving husband and father. A loyal friend. Our paths crossed often as he and I worked in the same building and, most significantly, worshiped in the same church. He always offered me a warm smile, followed by a pleasant word. No doubt the legal community has lost a true professional; the Sts. Peter & Paul family, a faith-filled brother.
David Johnson — a gentle soul, now with the Lord. Those of us whose lives were touched by him, are better for it. And for that, I am thankful.
Your love, Jesus, is an ocean with no shore to bound it. And if I plunge into it, I carry with me all the possessions I have. You know, Lord, what these possessions are— the souls you have seen fit to link with mine.
-St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Thx. Just learned about David. Laura and I are deeply saddened. He was a wonderful person. Thx. Paul
I knew him. He was a very nice man. My brother and him became friends at Emmaus.
David was part of our Why Catholic small group and were blessed to have shared his and our faith with him last year. He lived his faith in his love for his family, his work, and in his service to the SPP Community. He was an example of what our faith is all about and we will miss his wisdom, insight, and peaceful demeanor. Rest in peace my friend and I know that you are with Our Father.
I am so sad to hear this. Please tell me where to send my prayers. Our family and his were close when the children were small. Love to you and your family, Connie, Theresa
T – glad to hear from you. His daughter’s email is [email protected].
Take care, love to you guys.
I met David years ago through the Shenandoah neighborhood association, and then again through Sts. Peter and Paul. David was such an incredible example of a servant, he served the Lord in all areas of his life. He is a great loss to our world.
When I heard the news I couldn’t help but feel the words from Matthew 25- “well done my good and faithful servant”
Rest in the Lord David until we meet again.
