Today’s Thankful Thursday (quotes and all) is guest-posted by Jose (Ray) Perez:
“As another year of the Great American Race comes to a close, it’s a reminder that, like most things in life, it’s just the beginning of another season. Every year Danny and I pilgrimage to the Holy Land of NASCAR, the Daytona 500, to spend time together. Last year I was blessed to spend one-on-one time with my daughter Lauren when she was doing her Disney College Internship Program whenever I traveled for business to Orlando. These, as many other times shared with my children, are moments in time that I will never forget. But as they both get older, I realize that soon it will be time to let go and continue my journey with my Connie, as we have been for over 28 wonderful years. And for all of this, I’m very thankful.” – Ray

OMG Connie, who knew your husband could write so beautifully too!!! No wonder you guys are so good together. Congratulations to you both for having such a beautiful family.
Thanks, my friend. Gotta watch out or he’ll take over my job!
Missing our Disney days Papi! I am so thankful for that time and for you. I love you!
As I was reading today’s “Thankful Thursdays” I was saying to myself that this was so beautifully written, and then it said “My Connie” and then I had to read it again and realized that this was written by your husband. Wow, he writes just as good as you do.
Haha. A bit of hubby inspiration there.
Thank you, Ellen.
