As I often heard growing up: “¡Viento en popa y a toda vela!” (Wind in the stern and at full sail). My father, especially, lived like that, full steam ahead.
No matter what was on his plate, if life brought his way something that could potentially impact our lives positively, he would take it on. No fear, no second-guessing.
Sometimes we make decisions and choices that overwhelm us after the fact. With so much going on in our lives, taking on something new can add extra anxiety and stress to our already boiling pots. But, as I learned from Papi, and I see the same being practiced by my hubby, hard work and perseverance can carry us through.
So, family and friends, whatever life brings our way, let’s trust the process, remain strong in faith and keep pushing on, “Full Steam Ahead!”
For the Lord Who guides my steps, fuels my soul and eases my mind, I am thankful.
What are you thankful for today?
Until next Thursday’s post…si Dios quiere.
“How much I missed, simply because I was afraid of missing it.”
-Paulo Coelho
“In life we do things. Some we wish we had never done, some we wish we could replay a million times in our heads, but they all make us who we are. And in the end, those experiences shape every detail about us. If we were to reverse any of them, we wouldn’t be at the exact place that we are today. So just live. Make mistakes, and have wonderful times but never ever second guess who you are, where you have been, and most importantly, where it is that you are going.”
