Saturday is Earth Day. An annual celebration that raises awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations. I think we’re plenty aware by now, don’t you think? It’s not going to make a damn difference, though, if we don’t take care of its most special resource — humans.
No question that Earth is a thing of beauty. Created and given to us with the best of intentions by the Most High, to enjoy in love and in peace. Pero no, we suck at it.
I am thankful for our Blue Planet. May the Lord be merciful and guide us with His grace to take care of it and, most of all, one another.
What are you thankful for today?
Until next Thursday’s post…si Dios quiere.
“Every one of us is, in the cosmic perspective, precious. If a human disagrees with you, let him live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another.”
-C. Sagan
“The days are too short even for love; how can there be enough time for quarreling?”
-M. Gatty
“Lord help me live from day to day,
In such a humble sort of way,
To give a smile, help lift a load,
For those I meet along life’s road,
And when I come to my journey’s end,
My life I have not lived in vain,
If one dear friend can smile and say,
“I’m glad I met him on life’s way.”
