The thing with life dreams, my friends, is that they don’t have a chance in hell of coming true if you don’t have them.
But what if my dream is not in God’s plan for me? you might ask. Okay, legit question. Here’s my answer: What do you have to lose? Maybe initially your dream wasn’t in God’s plan for you, but what if your determination, hard work, persistence and prayers prompted God to revise the plan? Maybe. And that maybe is the ray of hope you need to not give up on that dream.
Ray and I have been visiting Naples, Florida since we were kids. Unbeknownst to us, our families were in love with this west coast city and, when we met, it was a great surprise to learn that we shared a little life dream — to one day own a tiny piece of that paradise. Needless to say, for decades, our visits never stopped. Living 90 miles away just made our escape there that much easier and frequent.
Last year, after 30+ years of (like I said) hard work, persistence, prayers and trusting God’s timing, our little life dream became reality.
So, I tell you, get busy dreaming, and trust in God’s timing. Because it may take decades for a dream to become a reality, ours certainly did. But oh, how sweet it is. So very grateful.
What are you thankful for today?
Until next Thursday’s post…si Dios quiere.
