Part 2 of my August 3rd post: This week has been tasting more bitter than sweet, as the next and last group of retirees makes its way out, including my work bestie. 😢 I suspect going through my workday now will be like watching a sitcom on mute. Mil – thank you for so much, my friend. Most of all, for 20 years of workplace laughter. Priceless.
To Retiree Group 2: I wish you all good health, delight and success as you move forward in life. Thank you for being amazing coworkers and even better friends! We will miss our Cafecito time together.
Enjoy your next chapter!
For the many, many years we worked together, and the memories we have made, I am so grateful.
What are you thankful for today?
Until next Thursday’s post…si Dios quiere.

Sad I didn’t get to visit in time to spend cafecito time with everyone before they left. Wishing them all so much joy in this next chapter. ❤️ Mil, you will be missed!
Thanks for getting me to tears this morning, Connie!
I could not agree more, Connie. I guess I am still in a bit of denial and next week when reality hits, I’m afraid it is going to hit hard. Regret is an awful thing and I regret not spending more time with those that are retiring. Let this be a lesson to us all. Time is something we can’t take back, make more of or change.
For knowing this great group of people, I am so grateful and have been truly blessed. Thank you all for being such great co-workers and friends. You all will be missed. All the best in your next adventure!
This is definitely bittersweet and will take some adjusting. A big part of the White & Case family is leaving and I don’t like goodbyes. Thank you for the friendships, laughters and gossips (lol). We’ll miss you all very much especially during our cafecito time. I wish you all the best and enjoy your next phase in good health. Let’s keep in touch. ❤️
Amen!
Thank you, Connie. This has certainly been an impactful change for us all, particularly for those who stay behind. I count my blessings for all of my years at W&C and for all the good friends I made. I miss you all and our occasional chats. Severing the umbilical chord was difficult, but it has been a welcome blessing from our Lord, as I am able to spend more time with my Papa. Blessings and good luck to all of you!

Connie,
Your posts are always so touching (sometimes too much!), but this one was especially so. Thank you for the kind words. I can’t believe the time is here.
I wish you only the best in your new W&C ventures (adventures?). Don’t let them drive you crazy- it’s only a few more years.
Please keep your eye on Becky for me – invite her to cafecito time even though she doesn’t drink😊
See you soon…
A great office team is a blessing indeed. I remember one in a little law firm a long, long time ago where intelligent verbosities were exchanged at lunch and much laughter ensued! Sending you hugs and love, amiga!0
