It’s all fun and games until…life happens.
As I laughed at this comic strip, the thought “always carry duct tape” came to mind. Probably because I say that a lot. Most times I mean it literally, because it happens to be a great survival tool. Usually the first item in our hiking backpack.
But, while writing this post, I realized the many rolls of proverbial duct tape we’ve gone through in our family to remedy the unexpected. Tape in the form of positivity, affirmation, resourcefulness, resilience and faith…you know, to help us plug life’s holes.
Carry duct tape, people, for when life happens.
I thank the Lord for the insight, every single time.
What are you thankful for today?
Until next Thursday’s post…si Dios quiere.
“Faith, like duct tape, can be used in a variety of situations to hold our lives together.”
“I believe that most problems in life can be resolved by a proper application of thought, love, humor or duct tape.”
-C. Boutwell
“Such a bad mistake it would be, to embark on marriage and adult life without a nice supply of duct tape.”
-N. Werlin
I need a life size duct tape lol
lol this made me laugh. Gotta love that duct tape.
Today, I’m thankful for the limbo life can put you in. It only makes for a greater come back.
Hey Connie, how are you? Just now I’ve had a chance to read your post. Thank you, I will most certainly take your advice to carry some duck tape with me from now on. Been quite lucky thus far, but even the most fortunate of us, can run out of luck at some point. But, thanks to you, I’ll be prepared should the need of some duck tape arise.
Hope all’s well with you and the W&C team.
Be well and stay happy.
Warmest regards,
Julie
