Thankful Thursdays

Today’s post is dedicated to my partner in crime, “my ride or die.”

Yesterday marked 37 years of marriage (and 41 together, but who’s counting?), and I couldn’t feel more blessed. Some days, it feels like a lifetime ago, and other days, it seems like just yesterday. Perspective on time can really feel crazy. One moment, we’re standing there, young and excited, saying “I do,” and now here we are, 37 years later — still together, with a few more wrinkles and a lot more wisdom.

Through the years, we’ve faced our share of challenges, but we’ve also experienced so much joy and laughter. And through it all, we’ve always had each other. Add to that the blessing of two amazing children who have filled our lives with immeasurable love and happiness. Watching Lauren and Danny grow into the remarkable individuals they are today has been one of the greatest gifts of all. And now, with the addition of their partners, Kevin and Lauren Ashley, our family feels even more complete. I couldn’t be prouder of the beautiful family we’ve built together.

Babe, as I look back on all we’ve shared, I’m filled with gratitude. You’re still my best friend, my partner in everything, and the person who knows exactly how I take my cortadito (and that’s true love right there). Whether we’re heading out for a hike or strolling along the beach, I’m always down for any adventure with you by my side.

So here’s to 37 years filled with memories, laughter and love. Thank you for making my heart feel at home, no matter where life finds us.
