It is a sad sad world we live in when so many appear to be so up in arms about something so morally on point with what our values should be.
Really. Give me a break!
not to kill one another?”
“Many people are concerned with children of India, with the children of Africa where quite a few die of hunger, and so on. Many people are also concerned about the violence in this great country of the United States. These concerns are very good. But often these same people are not concerned with the millions being killed by the deliberate decision of their own mothers. And this is the greatest destroyer of peace today- abortion which brings people to such blindness.”
~ Mother Teresa
It is very SAD.

You know what really bothers me, everyone is so darn concerned about being PC, which, fine, I can understand … to a point. Because if I am expected to respect their opinions, they darn well better respect mine. The opinions and rights of the many are being seriously trampled on by a belligerent few that squawk about their agenda while society goes down the drain.
1. Who, pray tell, would have been offended by the spot running on national t.v.? And as they are so fond of saying, if it offends you, well switch the damn channel. What’s good for the goose … not quite the same when the shoe is on the other hoof, is it? And, yes, I know, I’m doing a Yogi Berra here. So, our stuff offends them, we have to keep it off t.v., but their stuff offends us, we have to sit through it? I have a problem with that.
2. The media has no problem whatsoever when one of the loonier fringes of the pro-life movement goes off and does something reprehensible, such as killing someone. In other words, they have NO problem making the pro-life movement look like loons. Yet, when the movement has something sane to show, it gets a thumbs down. That is presenting a skewed view to the public at large. I have a problem with that.
3. There are two sides to the story. And no matter how loudly the pro-abortion movement protests, they cannot ignore the fact it is a child. It is the killing of a child and it is something the mother will, and I cannot stress this point enough, THE FATHER SHOULD, have to live with the rest of their days. It always ticks me off that the men who are creating the child when they choose to have unprotected sex are not held as liable for the taking of that life as much as the women are. True, it is the woman that bears the child. But the man helps to create that child. It takes two to tango. Women need to have more self-respect for crying out loud and not be out there having sex “just to have a boyfriend.” And the guys need to either put a raincoat on Goofy or keep Goofy zipped. Good grief, women’s rights were supposed to be about being treated equally in the workplace, voting, equal pay for equal work, not about having sex indiscriminately and irresponsibly … It wasn’t supposed to tell our daughters that it’s perfectly okay to be a hoochie mamma. It was supposed to promote self-confidence and acceptance, instead in large part, it’s done completely the opposite. I have a problem with that.
Okay, I have vented … Until next time.
