Thankful Thursdays
Thankful for the memories. “It’s a Small World” turns 50. I’m not gonna lie, the catchy tune drives me nuts now (how many of us haven’t gotten stuck in the ride? The boat stops but the music doesn’t!) As you get older, you either love it or hate it. But I can’t deny that it’s been part of many great memories for me. Just recently, my daughter and I videoselfied our sing-along while on the ride (I’ll spare you from that here). Yes, it was close to midnight, yes, it was part delirium, but, the ride was, once again, part of a memory maker. And today, for that I am thankful….
Thankful Thursdays
For every moment that we are safe in this crazy world we live in, thank You, God. Knowing that our lives can change between breaths, we shouldn’t, we mustn’t, take even a second for granted. “How strange is the lot of us mortals Each of us is here for a brief sojourn for what purpose he…

Thankful Thursdays
For a very precise arrangement of events to give me exactly what I needed and when I needed it. Those God-planned, God-sent interruptions… sometimes difficult, other times delightful, always purposeful. I will chose faith over fretting….

For technology — for connecting you and me despite the physical space between us. No, nothing beats in-person interaction, really. But I’ve learned to appreciate the reaching capability of electronic communication, and the possibilities it brings. And although I love to sift through actual photographs, you gotta admit getting those images of loved ones in the time it takes the eye to blink or the heart to beat can be pretty sweet….
Thankful Thursdays
So thankful for a week’s worth of 24/7 time with my pack in some of God’s most precious settings. The stuff that matters. “Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, you need one.” – J. Howard “Nature is full of genius, full…
Thankful Thursdays
I am thankful for Lent. For the opportunities it provides us (reflection, repentence, forgiveness, renewal, peace, hope) and for the celebration to which it leads us. May God’s peace be with you. +
I see violet, I smell incense.
The holiest of Wednesdays must be near. Tomorrow marks the beginning of the season during which we prepare to behold God’s sacrifice for us. A time to be quiet and still; to clear the mind, to focus, to recharge. To get in tune with His love and find the peace and hope that we so often let escape from us. I so need this. I can’t wait to be halfway into this precious season and say, “Yup, I feel Lent-y.” ♥ ….
Thankful Thursdays
For my co-workers, past and present. I’ve been so blessed with these connections, and for that I am very thankful. Your love, Jesus, is an ocean with no shore to bound it. And if I plunge into it, I carry with me all the possessions I have. You know, Lord, what these possessions are—…
