Thankful Thursdays

Posted on October 10, 2013June 11, 2014 by Connie Perez

For medicine, and those health care professionals who really do recognize and practice the “care” part of it. And for the incredible group I have of family and friends who have been there for us during my Mom’s illness — concerned, caring, and praying. I thank God for you….

Thankful Thursdays

Thankful Thursdays

Posted on September 26, 2013June 11, 2014 by Connie Perez

I’m thankful for the movies that move me. Here are a few I’ve seen countless times and still stop me in my tracks every time I’m channel surfing:…

Thankful Thursdays

It’s that time again, and I am excited to start another CCD year. A brand new set of students to teach…ME. I pray the Lord puts His words in my mouth and His patience in my heart. I’m also thankful for the new teachers that He brought our way. Prayers answered. “One day I would…

Thankful Thursdays

For our moms’ cooking. Okay, it’s no secret I can’t cook (or don’t like to, I should say…okay no I really can’t). But, I’ve got a mom and a mother-in-law who rock the kitchen. Thank the Lord! For them both. “I read recipes the same way I read science fiction. I get to the end…

Thankful Thursdays

For birthdays. I love them. A day when we can have our cake and eat it too! Sure, some are more exciting than others, and some are downright scary. But, at home we’ve always been big on birthdays. Sort of a reminder that we should celebrate life every day and thank God for the time we get with the ones we love….

A Thankful Thursdays Challenge

Posted on August 22, 2013June 11, 2014 by Connie Perez

Here’s a Thankful Thursdays challenge – Today, I invite you to express your gratitude to someone…. [Not much challenge in that, you say? Okay, but I wasn’t finished]… express your gratitude in a way that, well, you could say has gone out the window: in written form…. [Piece of cake, you say? I’m still not finished]…and do it in tangible written form. [cricket, cricket]….

Summer gratitude…

I’d like to use a couple of my [hopefully] 86,400 seconds today to express my gratitude to YOU, the loyal readers of RxfortheSoul, especially on Thursdays. And so, for your time, following, feedback, and fuel….                          “We don’t heal in isolation, but in community.” ~S.K. Harrell
