Thankful for the Gift List. I have a Bucket List, yes, and it’s great to plan and look forward to checking off stuff from it. But today I am most thankful for what’s on my Gift List — the blessings: being a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a co-worker; being loved and loving; the faith received, the things achieved, the friends made, the experiences had and the lessons learned — my Gift List. Thankful for unanswered prayers. I pray diligently, confidently, faithfully, and sometimes even with cockiness, because I think I know what’s best for me. Fortunately, God’s not down with what I think I know. Nope, instead, His sovereign Will prevails over my own. And I must trust that. As C.S. Lewis said, “If God had granted all the silly prayers I’ve made in my life, where would I be now?” True story….
