I was in the middle of daydreaming about that ginormous Mega jackpot (so many thoughts), when I was quickly reeled back to reality by pain in my knee, and in my neck, and in my…well, everywhere. Followed by a status text letting us know that our good friend Del was back in ICU. Forget lotto, I thought, I just want health. Ugh, perspective can be such a buzz-killer!
Don’t get me wrong, will I test my pre-determined luck again the next time? Sure. It’s mostly about FOMO for me. The Fear Of Missing Out should my office pool group win and I didn’t partake, it’s real. Definitely don’t want to be the only person at the office the day after the drawing.
But seriously though, there is no greater wealth than health. That’s why, for every breath I take while in relatively good health, I will always be thankful…and richer.
Praying for our friend Del.
What are you thankful for today?
Until next Thursday’s post…si Dios quiere.

So true!!!!! Especially at my age
A huge AMEN!!!!!!
Thanks, Connie.
As always what a nice post. Thanks for sharing.
I have that fear of missing out also, because I remember a few years ago, there was an office pool with several people in the group and each gave $2 and there was one co-worker who did not want to participant because he felt that they would never win and they each WON several million dollars each and some retired after receiving their money. Can you imagine the feeling of being left behind to run the whole office by yourself and hire new people.
Wow! You see! LOL.
