Not everything has to be monumental to merit a “Thank you, Lord” from us.
Our days are filled with little good things, many little good things that go right. Be aware and recognize them. For me, those simple things may be coffee brewing in the morning, an elevator that didn’t take forever to arrive when I was running late, daily conversations with family, our a/c working (okay that one is monumental 😉). But you get it. Simple, good things. Every day.
In a world where we easily obsess over things, let’s get obsessed with thankfulness. That is powerful.
What are you thankful for today?
Until next Thursday’s post…si Dios quiere.
“When each day is the same as the next, it’s because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises.”
-Paulo Coelho
“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”
-R. Brault
Yep, the little things count. Like when I’m running late and I am sure that my usual parking spot is gone and then I give a quick glance and it is there — the only spot not yet taken! I make sure to thank God and acknowledge Him for that simple kind gesture. Reminds me of this story… someone was asking God to help them look for a parking space and just then they noticed one and said, “that’s okay God I just found one!” I often find myself in a long line at the store and just as I am about to mutter to myself that I picked the wrong line I make eye contact with a cashier that just opened up and is waving me over. Thank you, God for all the little things that you sprinkle throughout our day reminding us you are still there.
Amen!🙏
Thank you, Lord, for our family FaceTimes ❤️
Absolutely 100% thankful for that. ❤️
