Team USA’s goalie is a meme right now. El pobre. Poor guy.
But really, haven’t we all been a meme at some point in our lives? Maybe not on the internet, but definitely in our own stories. I know I have. Exhibit A: courtesy of my kids. Me in 1974. A photo that has somehow found a second life as a meme. 😂
Some moments are funny, but I’ve had plenty of them I’d love to erase. Yet, those are the moments that remind me perfection just isn’t a thing.
So today, I’m thankful for God’s grace. Thankful that our worst moment doesn’t get the final say (unless you’re playing in the World Cup 😬). That we get to learn, laugh about it (eventually) and keep moving forward.
Perfection doesn’t exist, people. Grace does. So let’s believe in second chances and remember that growth happens in the moments we’d rather forget.
What’s been your least favorite meme moment of yourself? And what are you thankful for today?
P.S. A big birthday shoutout today to the person who probably has the largest collection of my meme-worthy moments, and somehow still thinks I’m beautiful. Happy birthday, babe! Love you. ❤️
Until next Thursday’s post…si Dios quiere.
“Fueled by grace and second chances.”
