On this Thankful Thursday, I am especially grateful for the sounds, sights, and smells of Christmas.
Bright colors of red and green flicker on a pine tree filled with ornaments new and old, a train (sometimes the monorail) circles the nativity village, scented candles fill the air, carols play to the heart’s content….

For meaningful conversations.
The sad, the laugh-out-loud, the serious, the prayerful, the advice-full, the spiritual, and even the philosophical. I truly appreciate a good convo. I have these. Internally. Quite often…..

For what irritates me…because it makes my need to pray even greater.
What irritates you? Here’s a little prayer for that:….

On this, the grandest Thankful Thursday of all, I wish you a very blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
I thank the Lord for the wonderful, supportive, and loving people with whom He has surrounded me. Total gratitude here….

For being thought of. Be it a message, a card, a package, a gesture, a call…. In this fast-paced life, it is awesome to know you were thought of. Today I am grateful for those who keep me in mind and reach out to show me.
Is anyone thinking of you right now? Maybe someone is….

Thankful for the Gift List. I have a Bucket List, yes, and it’s great to plan and look forward to checking off stuff from it. But today I am most thankful for what’s on my Gift List — the blessings: being a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a co-worker; being loved and loving; the faith received, the things achieved, the friends made, the experiences had and the lessons learned — my Gift List. Do you have one?….

A friend shared this earlier in the week, thought I’d post it forward. Thankful for those people who spread His word and His love….

It’s been great seeing the kids enjoy Halloween through the years (and at times being part of the action). God-willing we’ll have many more….

Thankful for unanswered prayers. I pray diligently, confidently, faithfully, and sometimes even with cockiness, because I think I know what’s best for me. Fortunately, God’s not down with what I think I know. Nope, instead, His sovereign Will prevails over my own. And I must trust that. As C.S. Lewis said, “If God had granted all the silly prayers I’ve made in my life, where would I be now?” True story….
